Tommy’s Hamburgers

Monday, July 14th, 2008

There are 3 or four locations in Fort Worth. The best location is the one just off the exit at Green Oaks Blvd and I-30 West on the west side of Fort Worth. They serve a great veggie burger and make it to order. I suggest the mushroom swiss veggie burger…but I have to tell you that all the meat lovers are crazy about this joint. Shorts and t-shirts welcome. Lots of TVs and ICE COLD scooners of beer are available.

Bristol Bar & Grill

Excellent place for a couple to go and experience some fine dining.

Nacho Mama’s

Monday, July 14th, 2008

St. Louis is not known for its selection of TexMex and Mexican food, but Nacho Mamas delivers decent TexMex if you’re going to eat it anywhere north of Texas. I recommend the Fajitas Nachos Grande…get the chips on the side. I’m hooked because they’ve got a drive thru and it’s not taco bell!

La Pizza

Monday, July 14th, 2008

If you’re in St. Louis, looking for good NY style pizza, La Pizza is a good choice. Pizza by the slice or the whole pie. My NY friends here swear by it. Great prices too…$2.25 will get you a slice.

Moxie the Restaurant

Great food in Cleveland! American cuisine, with an interesting menu. Mussels for the appetizer are great, as is the fois gras. For desert, I love the baked hot chocolate. I usually get the bone-in ribeye since it looks like something off the Flintstones. Check out the sister restaurant…Red, the steak house.

Ted Drewes Frozen Custard

Monday, July 14th, 2008

A landmark in St. Louis. They serve great frozen custard (a lot like ice cream). Lines are dauntingly long, but they move incredibly fast…don’t be fooled! This is a must see site when in St. Louis. The Chippewa location is bigger and open for more of the year…but it’s all the same custard!
