The St. Louis zoo is one of the top zoos in the nation. As a bonus, it is free...there is even some free parking, but it is hard to find on busy days. The petting zoo cost a little bit too. This zoo is one of the best kid fun destinations in all of St. [...]
Not only is the garden it self nice to walk through. Your children will enjoy sitting on the sheep statues and feeding the Japanese carp (koi). There is also a new childrens garden. The childrens garden has rope bridges to walk across, a large sandbox, a fountain to play in, tree house, cave and much [...]
A landmark in St. Louis. They serve great frozen custard (a lot like ice cream). Lines are dauntingly long, but they move incredibly fast...don't be fooled! This is a must see site when in St. Louis. The Chippewa location is bigger and open for more of the year...but it's all the same custard!
The Arch is a must-see monument if you're ever in the mid-west. You can take a tram ride to the top...I jumped out of the tiny car at the last minute as I was seized by a bout of claustrophobia. It is an engineering marvel. In addition to the movie and literature available at the [...]
If you're in St. Louis, looking for good NY style pizza, La Pizza is a good choice. Pizza by the slice or the whole pie. My NY friends here swear by it. Great prices too...$2.25 will get you a slice.
I took my kindergarteners to the Transportation Museum last year. They loved it! There were cars that the kids could look at, trains that they could climb aboard and play conductor, planes they could climb in, boats they could explore, and much more. They also have a place called Creation Station. It's a fun place [...]
At Grant's Farm, children can see and pet many different types of animals. You can walk around the park or catch the train. Grant's Farm is also home to the famous Budweiser Clydesdale horses the world has grown to love.
Wow! The Science Center offers many things for children, and adults, to explore. The Science Center spotlights themes such as, astronomy, dinosaurs, transportation, and much more on a regular basis. This is a must see!
A great museum for the kids. It is filled with animals (some you can pet), caves for the kids to climb in, free crafts, and slides. It will cost you a small fee to get in but it is worth it when the kids are having a good time so check it out.
Great place to take a crowd of friends to and watch them prepare the food right in front of you. Plus they are quite entertaining. We've had a blast there everytime regardless of it being a group of friends or group of out of town co-workers in for business meetings .. always fun.
I've been here more than a few times but haven't managed to eat anything other than their sundaes. If you enjoy ice-cream, it's a must. Homemade ice-cream and chocolate candy. I'm certain their lunch menu is equally well, but somehow I haven't been able to get pass the desserts.
