Rocky Mountains National Park

The Rocky Mountains National Park is absolutely stunning! The mountain scenery and wildlife are among the best in America. The park offers plenty of fishing, hiking, camping, climbing, and driving sight seeing. There is a plethora of information on their website. Photos By Jerry Suchman

Missouri Botanical Garden

Not only is the garden it self nice to walk through. Your children will enjoy sitting on the sheep statues and feeding the Japanese carp (koi). There is also a new childrens garden. The childrens garden has rope bridges to walk across, a large sandbox, a fountain to play in, tree house, cave and much [...]

Crown Candy Kitchen

I’ve been here more than a few times but haven’t managed to eat anything other than their sundaes. If you enjoy ice-cream, it’s a must. Homemade ice-cream and chocolate candy. I’m certain their lunch menu is equally well, but somehow I haven’t been able to get pass the desserts.

Thai Jasmine

Healthy Thai food in a very pleasant airy environment. Great vegetarian choices and the food is always fresh and flavorful. Every first Sunday of the month a vegetarian group meets there for a buffet from 11:30-2. The food is great.

Henderson Beach State Park

Located in Destin on Florida’s panhandle, Henderson Beach State park has beautiful white, wide beaches and gorgeous dunes dotted with clumps of sea oats and the ever so popular prickly pear. Over a mile of beach! The water is clear enough to snorkel, but no reef nearby. Surfing, boogie boarding, sunning, and beach combing are [...]

Kobe Steak House of Japan

Great place to take a crowd of friends to and watch them prepare the food right in front of you. Plus they are quite entertaining. We’ve had a blast there everytime regardless of it being a group of friends or group of out of town co-workers in for business meetings .. always fun.

Chihuahua’s Restaurant

Really good Mexican food at an affordable price. Plus they have great margaritas

Edward “Ted” and Pat Jones-Confluence Point State Park

Where two mighty rivers meet. This state park is rather small as state parks go, and is more notable for its history and geological significance than its beauty. Driving from St. Louis to Alton, Il, you’ll come to a great area for eagle watching in the winter. You’ll have to drive a ways off the [...]

City Museum

A great museum for the kids. It is filled with animals (some you can pet), caves for the kids to climb in, free crafts, and slides. It will cost you a small fee to get in but it is worth it when the kids are having a good time so check it out.

Booger Hollow

If you happen to find yourself passing through Arkansas and just happen to be traveling highway 7, I recommend passing through this interesting little town. Sure it might make you feel just a tad weird but we found it interesting all the same.
